Job description

🚀 We’re on a mission to make money work for everyone.

We’re waving goodbye to the complicated and confusing ways of traditional banking. With our hot coral cards and get-paid-early feature, combined with financial education on social media and our award winning customer service, we have a long history of creating magical moments for our customers!

We’re not about selling products – we want to solve problems and change lives through Monzo ❤️

We’re looking for a highly organized Reward Program Manager to join us on a 12‑month FTC. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of our Reward infrastructure, ensuring our programs are executed flawlessly, are built to scale, and are driven by clear governance.

Monzo is growing quickly, and we need our Reward framework to reflect that ambition. This is a high‑impact role focused on the complete end‑to‑end management and delivery of our key programs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the end‑to‑end execution of Monzo’s core annual Reward programs, including the Annual Review Cycle, Global Benchmarking, and Job Architecture implementation.
  • Communicate complex compensation concepts and changes, engaging managers and proactively managing stakeholder expectations. Act as the main coordinator for external partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Design and execute comprehensive communication strategies to clearly communicate complex reward principles, policies, and changes across all levels of the business. Serve as the key liaison between the Reward team and the wider People Collective.
  • Establish and maintain robust governance models for all compensation programs, ensuring internal consistency and compliance with external regulations.
Qualifications
  • Experience designing, managing, and delivering end‑to‑end Reward programs (including Annual Review, Benchmarking, and Job Architecture) in a fast‑paced, scaling environment.
  • Proven expertise in leading complex, cross‑functional Reward projects with a focus on project governance, milestone tracking, and flawless execution.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a track record of implementing structure and driving accountability across diverse teams.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to simplify and communicate complex data and policies for all audiences.
  • Experience coordinating with external partners (e.g., data providers, consultants) and translating their input into internal delivery plans.

Not ticking every box? That’s totally okay! Studies show that women and people of colour might hesitate to apply unless they meet every single requirement. At Monzo, we’re dedicated to creating a diverse and welcoming team. If you’re passionate about this role and keen to learn and grow with us, we encourage you to apply— even if you don’t have everything that's listed just yet. Drop us your application, we’d love to hear from you!

What’s in it for you
  • 💰 Flexible base salary, depending on experience plus stock options.
  • ⏰ Flexible working hours and trust you to work enough hours to do your job well, at times that suit you and your team.
  • 📚 £1,000 learning budget each year for books, training courses, and conferences.
  • 🏡 Work from home; all employees receive Macbooks and fully remote workers receive extra support for work‑from‑home setup.
Equal opportunities for everyone
