A local government authority in the United Kingdom is looking for a Revenues & Benefits Assistant to provide essential administrative support. This role involves managing customer records, handling correspondence, and contributing to the efficient operation of the Revenues and Benefits Service. Ideal candidates should possess excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude. Training is provided for those with less experience. Benefits include participation in the Local Government Pension Scheme, and discounted gym membership, among others.
This role provides remote and flexible working as well as working within the Council Offices, subject to business need.

About this role
As a Revenues andBenefits Assistant,you will play an integral rolein the runningof theRevenues and Benefits Service.You will be providingkeyadministrative supportincluding the handling and filing ofboth physical and digital mail.
You will also be updatingrelevantinformation systems to ensure that customer recordsremainaccurate, up to date andin accordance withData Protection Principles.
Inaddition,yourdutieswill involve supporting the managementwith the day to day running of the service, understanding when to work independentlyand when to consult with colleagues.
This role requiresexcellentcommunication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving,outstandingtime management skills and attention to detail.
You’llbe part of a dedicated team committed to making a differenceto the residents of the district.
Previousexperience is desirable,but not essential,as full training will be given.
