Restaurant General Manager

GRILLING HUT – 1935 DREW ROAD, Mississauga, ON L5S 1M7

Salary: $65.00 per hour – 35 to 40 hours per week, Permanent Employment, Full Time, Starts as soon as possible.

Overview

Lead the restaurant as General Manager. Allocate resources, establish departments, coordinate divisions, set objectives, represent the organization in negotiations, manage financial and administrative controls, approve promotional campaigns and HR planning.

Responsibilities
  • Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
  • Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
  • Co‑ordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments.
  • Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs.
  • Represent the organization, or negotiate on its behalf in official functions.
  • Establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; approve overall human resources planning.
Qualifications & Experience
  • College/CEGEP education or equivalent.
  • 3 to less than 5 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
  • Operations management specialization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong oral communication, flexibility, organization, teamwork, initiative.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident or work permit holder).
Supervision

5–10 people.
