Residential Property Lawyer – Top 100

Location: Reading

TSR Legal are proud to be working in partnership with a leading national law firm who are seeking an experienced and client-focused Residential Property Lawyer to join their dynamic Thames Valley team based in Reading.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious lawyer to join a highly regarded Residential Property team, recognised for providing first-class, tailored legal advice on a full range of non-contentious residential property matters.

You will handle a varied and interesting caseload including:

• Sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties
• Re-mortgages and transfers of equity
• Voluntary first registrations
• Lease extensions and related matters

The team pride themselves on their collaborative approach — sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and maintaining the highest standards of client care.

Flexible and hybrid working is available, though the successful candidate will be expected to be in the Reading office at least three days per week to meet the needs of clients and the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of residential property transactions

About You

We’re looking for a confident, knowledgeable lawyer who enjoys both technical detail and strong client relationships. You will have:

• 5+ years PQE (Solicitors, CILEX Lawyers, or Licensed Conveyancers all considered)
• A strong grounding in residential property law within the Thames Valley/Reading area
• The ability to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision
• Experience supervising junior fee earners
• Excellent drafting, communication, and relationship-building skills
• A commercial mindset and team-oriented approach
