Job Purpose:

To lead and manage the care team during night shifts, ensuring high standards of care and support are delivered to residents with complex needs, including dementia and learning disabilities. You will act as the most senior person on-site during the night, providing leadership, guidance, and ensuring safety, wellbeing, and compliance with all care standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the night staff team, ensuring a calm and supportive environment throughout the night.

• Deliver person-centred care and ensure all care plans are followed.

• Complete regular welfare checks and respond promptly to any incidents, emergencies, or health concerns.

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of care records, handovers, and communication logs.

• Administer and manage medication in line with policies and procedures.

• Conduct night audits and ensure the home remains compliant with safeguarding and regulatory standards.

Essential Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)

• Previous experience as a Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, or Deputy Manager

• Experience working with Dementia, Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to work autonomously during the night

• A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
