Overview
Pay: £43,000 per year. Location: Hybrid (office and home working) Slough. Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 – 17:00. This role is for registered Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists (OTs) in Slough who want to develop their clinical skills and knowledge within a PIP OR WCA Functional Assessor role.
Responsibilities
- Undertake a combination of file-work, face-to-face and telephone/video assessments with customers in relation to PIP or ESA benefits.
- Provide comprehensive reports to enable decision makers at the DWP to make informed benefit decisions.
- Assess how a disability affects a customer’s day-to-day life and their ability to perform work-related activities.
- Deliver accurate, evidence-based outcomes based on clinical judgment and communication with claimants.
- Engage in ongoing CPD, with support for revalidation and career development within the organisation.
Requirements
- One year’s post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
- Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other) without restriction or conditions, and a valid PIN.
- Excellent observational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathise and dig deeper.
- Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.

- Salary: £43,000 per annum plus benefits and bonus opportunities.
- Salary uplift: £1,000 after 6 months and a further £1,000 after 12 months.
