Job summary

A leading childcare recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Registered Manager for a Residential Children's Home in Carmarthen. The role offers a salary of up to £47,000, depending on qualifications and experience. You will work full-time, Monday to Friday, managing staff and supporting young people’s independence. Ideal candidates will have a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in Children and Young People, along with relevant experience. A generous benefits package is also included.

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to join the team at a Residential Children's Home based in Carmarthen, the salary is up to £47,000 depending on qualifications and experience, you will be working in a great team with many benefits as well as it being a highly rewarding role.

As a registered manager with us you will:

  • Provide support and guidance.
  • Help young people become independent and produce life skills.
  • Work with partnership agencies of the child (police, social services, education, Youth Offending Services, etc). Ensure plans for young people are being met.
  • Ensure the home is a safe and stable environment.
  • Look after the interests of the home and the company.

To apply for this role, you will need:

  • Level 5 Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) qualification or working towards this.
  • Experience of working with children and young people.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of relevant childcare legislation.
  • Be prepared to undertake mandatory training.
  • Be committed in promoting anti‑discriminatory practice and setting good examples of practice within the workplace.
  • Prepared to take off‑duty calls in emergency situations.
  • Attend reviews and care‑planning meetings.
  • Minimum two years’ experience of supervising and managing staff.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00‑17:00 with on‑call duties.
