Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Nimbuscare team in the role of Receptionist to support the Nimbuscare team in the delivery of the GP Out of Hours Service based at York Hospital. You will be the first point of contact for our patients arriving for a face-to-face appointment and will be friendly and welcoming. You will ensure an efficient and professional reception provision and will work as part of the wider team to ensure a positive patient experience. Interviews are expected to take place in person in York.

Main duties of the job

  • To manage the waiting room area whilst patients wait to be seen
  • Interaction with patients to provide information, signposting, and advice
  • To demonstrate a competent level of interpersonal skills
  • Manage and prioritise own workload
  • Ensure the clinical rooms are stocked where appropriate
  • Any other duties as directed
  • Completion of administrative tasks as directed

We also provide community-based frailty care, which focuses on treating people in the community where we can. We also aim to shift services into the community where possible, for example our community diagnostic centres run in partnership with the Acute Trust.
