Overview

Job Title: Receptionist (Up to 6-Month Fixed Term Contract). Location: Coventry College. Contract Type: Temporary / Part-Time / Term-Time Only (38-weeks per academic year). Hours per Week: 25 per week. Salary: £14,390 to £14,679 per annum pro-rated (dependent on qualifications and experience). FTE £25,160 - £25,664.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and professional individual to join our team in a key business support role. You will play an important part in helping the College run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall learner and staff experience. Whether supporting students, staff, systems, or services, you’ll bring a positive approach and a strong focus on customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail. The College is looking to appoint a part-time Receptionist who will be responsible for providing an efficient and welcoming reception service for students, staff and visitors to the College. You will also be required to operate the College’s switchboard, postal services and to assist with other clerical duties. You must have experience of customer facing roles and ideally have reception, switchboard and/or clerical experience. A flexible approach to working hours is essential:

  • Monday – 12:00pm to 5:30pm
  • Tuesday - 12:00pm to 4:30pm
  • Wednesday – 12:00pm to 5:30pm
  • Thursday – 12:00pm to 4:30pm
  • Friday – 12:00pm to 5:00pm
Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Minimum of Level 2 qualification, or equivalent competency, in Communication/Literacy and Numeracy/Maths or willingness to achieve in a specified timescale
  • Experience of dealing with people in a customer facing environment
  • Experience of reception and/or clerical experience
  • Knowledge of computer systems
