A leading healthcare provider in Wales is seeking an experienced Receptionist for their GP Practice in Connah's Quay. The role involves booking appointments, managing patient queries, and performing various administrative tasks. A good standard of education and NVQ Level 2 in Administration is essential, while proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in a busy reception environment is advantageous. Full training will be provided, and the role can require working at different sites to meet service needs.
The East Primary Care Team is looking for an experienced, organised and enthusiastic Receptionist to work in our Health Board managed GP Practice (St Mark's Dee View Surgery, Connah's Quay).
Previous experience of working within a GP Practice would be beneficial and knowledge of the EMIS clinical system is desirable, however training can be given. The demands of a GP practice can change on a daily basis and therefore this role will be challenging.
Welsh language Skills need to be learnt when appointed to the post.
The post holder will be booking appointments and dealing with patient queries; therefore excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner are required.
Proficient IT skills (including experience of Microsoft Office) are also required as the post holder will undertake a variety of administrative duties, including some data inputting, to assist the smooth day‑to‑day running of the practice.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a healthcare setting or a customer service environment, but full training can be given to the right candidate.
The post holder will also be expected to work at other Health Board managed GP practices in the East area on an ad‑hoc basis to meet service needs and to cover staff absences. This will be discussed at interview.
