We are a busy, friendly GP practice committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive team environment. We are currently seeking a motivated and professional Receptionist/Administrator with experience using EMIS Web to join our front-of-house team.
Key Responsibilities
Greeting and assisting patients both in person and over the phone
Booking, amending and cancelling appointments using EMIS Web
Handling patient queries efficiently and confidentially
Processing repeat prescription requests
Supporting the clinical and administrative team with day-to-day duties
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
Previous experience working in a GP surgery or healthcare environment
Proficient in using EMIS Web
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
A professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach
Confidentiality awareness and understanding of data protection (GDPR)
Knowledge of NHS systems and procedures
Experience working with EMIS and Docman
Basic understanding of medical terminology
