You are the firstcontact point of our department, you begin the process of the end user (thePatient) receiving the medical support they need, by co-ordinating the timelyreceipt, organisation and re-distribution of medical supplies. Main duties of the job

Underthe direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the safereceipt of goods into designated stores. Receipting, Goods in, dealing withdeliveries. You'll be ensuring that goods are accurately checked againstpurchase orders and ensures timely and accurate computerised goods receptingis undertaken. Distribute goods to the relevant departments using the correctlifting and handling equipment to ensure all Health and Safety guidelines aremet. Ensure that all goods received by customers have the necessary paperworkand signature of receipt thus providing trace-ability and to satisfy Auditrequirements. You'll assist in ensuring that the Stores is a safe and tidyenvironment and that all security procedures are adhered to and provide frontend contact with customers and be the link between receipt within the storesand the distribution of goods. This role will involve a moderate amount oftime spent working outside or in an open environment.

About us

TheSupplies and Procurement department is made up of approximately 140 staff andthe various teams are based throughout the Trust. (St James UniversityHospital, Leeds General Infirmary, Chapel Allerton, Seacroft and WharfedaleHospital). The department as a whole consists of the contracting sections forboth Clinical and Non-Clinical, e- Procurement, Materials Management (SupplyChain), Scan4Safety and ICT Procurement. You will be based at Dolly Lane,SJUH but you will travel across sites when required. At every step of theprocess, our priority is always our end user (the Patient) although this jobcan be physically challenging, it offers a great sense of job-satisfactionand our team members are proud to work for Leeds Teaching Hospitals.
