Salary: Up to £65,000 plus bonus and benefits

Location: Manchester / Birmingham

Purpose of Role

Lawes Consulting Group are recruiting for a Real Estate Underwriter to join an expanding team for a global leading firm.

Responsibilities
  • Underwrite Property and Liability risks for Real Estate clients
  • Meet company standards in respect of policy documentation, contract certainty, peer review, audit, compliance, legal and regulatory requirements.
Day-to-Day
  • Underwrite new business and renewal accounts according to defined underwriting guidelines and strategies
  • Proactively develop relationships with key brokers and clients to ensure profitable and sustainable growth, in conjunction with distribution and other key stakeholders.
  • Contribute towards achieving the Real Estate financial plan
Experience
  • Good working knowledge of the insurance market, and experience of dealing with brokers and clients
  • Property underwriting knowledge and experience is essential. Liability knowledge and experience is preferred but not essential
  • Experience working with Real Estate clients and brokers is an advantage but not essential
Skills
  • Desire to continue to develop technical and broader business skills
  • Ability to maintain firm client relationships
  • Key attention to detail
