Overview

Title: R&D Laboratory Technician

Location: Amesbury, Wiltshire

Salary: 27,000 - 29,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Role / Description
  • Supporting senior members of staff with customer development briefs
  • Mixing and preparing samples in the laboratory
  • Working with the applications laboratory to test samples in food products
  • Maintaining the raw materials and consumables databases
  • Ordering supplies and general housekeeping of the laboratory
Requirements
  • Recently graduated in Chemistry, Food Science, Natural Sciences, Biochemistry or similar
  • An obvious passion for food science and/or the wider food industry
  • Accuracy in weighing and measuring out raw materials
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a multitude of departments
  • Able to multi-task and change priorities quickly depending on business need
