Location: Milton Keynes, MK6 1LY
Contract Type: Long-term Contract (Temp to Perm opportunity)
Sector: Infrastructure / Civils
Salary / Rate: £58,000 PA or £29.74 PAYE
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (37.5 hours per week)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial team on a Term Service Contract and associated task order works, with involvement across both core works and major projects, depending on experience.

This role offers long-term stability with exposure to NEC4 contracts and project values ranging from routine works through to major schemes valued between £500k and £5m.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Term Service Contract, core, and task order works
  • Proactively manage subcontract accounts, ensuring timely payment notices and agreement of final accounts
  • Measure works accurately using as-built information and site records
  • Price works and manage Compensation Events
  • Attend progress and commercial meetings with clients, supply chain partners, and internal teams
  • Work closely with operations and the supply chain to support valuations and resolve queries
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
  • Administer NEC4 TSC contracts (Options A, C & E) using CEMAR
  • Support cost control, reporting, and commercial governance
Major Projects Stream (Experience Dependent)

Candidates with experience on major projects (£500k-£5m) will support larger and more complex work packages, including enhanced change control, commercial reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Skills & Experience
  • Minimum HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering (time-served experience considered)
  • 5+ years' experience in construction or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts (Options A, C & E) - essential
  • Experience managing valuations, applications for payment, and variations
  • Ability to price works using first principles
  • Strong Excel and commercial reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately
  • Confident, collaborative communicator with strong attention to detail
