We are hiring for our client, a well-established and forward-thinking Construction, Fit Out and Manufacturing company, seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor – Construction & Fit Out to join their commercial team. Working closely with operations, the successful candidate will provide full pre- and post-contract commercial support, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and to the highest standard.

The Role:
• Prepare quantities for tendering and assist in tender submissions
• Appoint subcontractors under agreed terms
• Manage material procurement and monitor cost variances
• Prepare, submit and settle interim claims and valuations
• Identify and agree variations, track cost implications
• Maintain accurate financial reporting and cost/value reconciliations
• Liaise with clients and consultants, producing documentation as required
• Monitor cashflow and provide cost data to internal finance teams
• Advise on contractual matters and manage final accounts
• Maintain up-to-date records and contribute to continuous improvement
The Person:
• Recent and relevant Quantity Surveyor experience within construction/fit out
• Commercially aware with strong knowledge of JCT contracts
• Confident communicator with proven negotiation and client liaison skills
• Strong IT and Excel skills essential
• Organised and adaptable with a high attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable:
• Degree in Surveying or related discipline
• Experience with PQQs, tenders and e-tendering
