A leading aerospace company is seeking a Quality Technician for a 6-month contract role in Chelmsford. The technician will ensure compliance with quality standards and lead investigations into quality issues. Candidates should have a Higher National Certificate and experience in a manufacturing environment, alongside strong analytical skills. The role requires 4 days on-site per week and offers competitive pay.
Quality Technician - Space Imaging (contract)
Initial 6 month contract
Chelmsford (4 days p/w onsite)
£180pd / £24.32ph (Inside IR35)
Space Imaging is expanding its portfolio of projects to develop Front End Electronics (FEE) systems and full payloads for Space applications. The imaging sensors developed and tested at the Chelmsford site have been used on humanities most important space imaging missions. These include the Hubble Telescope, Keplar, GAIA, Mars Rovers, New Horizons, and Rosetta to name but a few.
The Quality Engineer role is hands on to support all business aspects, including Manufacturing and driving improvement and efficiency.
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that issues are dealt with in an effective manner, and appropriate Root Cause and Corrective Action is applied.
