Overview

Infinity Employment are seeking an experienced Quality Manager with gear or spline knowledge and AS9100 experience for a permanent position. The team is a fast-paced, high-precision engineering environment. Key clients would be within the aerospace, automotive and F1 sector. This is a key leadership role focused on maintaining and enhancing our quality standards, with a strong emphasis on gear and spline manufacturing and compliance with AS9100.

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per year

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and maintain the company's QMS to AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards
  • Conduct and manage internal, external, and customer audits
  • Develop quality plans, inspection criteria, and control documentation
  • Oversee and support the inspection team in the measurement of gears, splines, and precision components
  • Investigate and resolve non-conformances, implement corrective/preventive actions
  • Manage First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and customer teams to ensure quality objectives are met
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement across all quality functions
Essential experience
  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager in a manufacturing environment (ideally aerospace or precision engineering)
  • Strong understanding of gear and spline manufacturing processes
  • In-depth knowledge of AS9100 (Rev D preferred) and ISO 9001 QMS
  • Experience leading audits and maintaining compliance with industry standards
  • Skilled in root cause analysis, FMEA, CAPA, and problem-solving methodologies
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
