Responsibilities include performing various inspections and maintaining records, ensuring the delivery of world-class aerospace components. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering qualification and experience with precision machined parts. Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections at first-off and final stages.
  • Inspect incoming goods and verify certification.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records.
  • Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in line with AS9102 standards.

Skills

Ability to interpret technical drawings
Proficient in using standard measuring tools
Experience with CMM operation
Self-motivated and able to work independently

Overview

Quality Inspector - Aerospace Precision Engineering

Location: Bristol
Industry: Aerospace Manufacturing
Hours: 38 hours/week (Shifts: 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm)
Overtime: Paid at time and a half (weekdays & Saturdays)

iO Associates are proud to be working with a leading manufacturer of precision machined components for the aerospace industry. Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their Quality Control team with an experienced Quality Inspector.

Responsibilities
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections at first-off and final stages.
  • Inspect incoming goods and verify certification.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records.
  • Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in line with AS9102 standards.
What We're Looking For
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, route cards, and inspection procedures.
  • Proficient in using standard measuring tools: micrometers, verniers, shadowgraphs, hard gauges.
  • Experience with CMM operation and programming.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Mechanical Engineering qualification.
  • Experience inspecting precision machined parts, ideally in aerospace.
