WESTERN ISLES HEALTH BOARD, STORNOWAY, ISLE OF LEWIS HS1 2BN

Quality Improvement Co-ordinator (Nurse)

Band 6 £41,608 - £50,702 per annum

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,406 per annum

37 hours per week • Fixed Term or Secondment Post for 12 months

Responsibilities
  • Join the Clinical Governance and Professional Practice Team as Quality Improvement Co-ordinator and play a key role in supporting Nursing Quality Improvement Projects throughout NHS Western Isles, including Excellence in Care and the Health Care Staffing Programme.
  • Support frontline teams and work with external stakeholders in Healthcare Improvement Scotland and senior management to maximise an integrated multidisciplinary approach to the Quality and Safety Agenda using the Model of Improvement methodology.
  • Travel between sites as required (the post is based in Stornoway and may involve significant travel).
Qualifications and Skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Experience with the Model of Improvement methodology and supporting multidisciplinary teams in quality and safety initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel between sites as part of the role.
  • Possession of or willingness to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
Additional Details
  • The post is based in Stornoway; there is some flexibility in working hours and part-time options may be considered.
  • Post holder will be required to travel between sites; significant travel may be involved.
  • Registration with PVG Scheme is required; relocation expenses are not eligible.
