The Opportunity

We\'re looking for a proactive Quality Engineer to strengthen our team. In this role, you\'ll oversee product and process quality, support compliance requirements, and help drive improvements across production. You\'ll be involved in everything from audits and inspections to training and customer interactions, making this a highly varied and rewarding position.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain standards and good practice in controlled environments.
  • Check materials and components on arrival to ensure they meet requirements.
  • Lead investigations into production or customer issues, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Carry out internal reviews of processes and support certification activities.
  • Contribute to meetings with customers and external auditors.
  • Review and authorise process changes and product release documentation.
  • Provide training in electrostatic discharge handling and related practices.
  • Manage compliance documentation, including environmental and safety declarations.
  • Use structured problem-solving methods such as 8D and Lean Six Sigma to deliver improvements.
Requirements
  • A technical qualification (HNC or higher).
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing quality role; cleanroom knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Good communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Confident with MS Office; experience with SAP would be useful
