About the roleAs a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer at Mirus Aircraft Seating, you will play a key role in supporting both Engineering and Manufacturing functions to ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and compliance.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you'll lead the development and implementation of Quality initiatives across the full product lifecycle - from concept and prototyping to production and in-service support.
You'll support day-to-day Quality operations, assist with FMEA and Problem-Solving activities, help drive Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Error Prevention. You'll also facilitate maintenance of Quality documentation and Systems, support new product introduction (NPI), and ensure adherence to Legislation, Regulations, and International Standards, including Conformity of Production requirements.

Apply today and come on a journey with us.YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBLITLIES:In your role as our Quality Engineer, you will:- Facilitate the development and maintenance of the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring compliance with Part 21 Subpart G, Part 21 Subpart J, and AS9100 standards.
- Compile and maintain key Quality documents, including Quality Plans, AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), and other compliance records.
- Conduct Internal Audits, support External Audits and product inspections to verify adherence to regulatory, company and customer-specific requirements.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including prototype and production builds, through quality planning and implementation.
- Assist in the development of PFMEAs, process flow charts, and other risk management tools.
- Support with Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and corrective action activities.
- Working with cross-functional Teams of Quality, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to help resolve Quality issues and support Continuous Improvement projects.
- Issue EASA Form 1 Airworthiness Certificates for dispatched goods, fulfilling signatory responsibilities.
- Compile and analyse Quality data to support reporting and decision-making.
About youTo help Mirus continue our journey of growth, you will bring your expertise within a quality capacity, a passion for problem solving and drive for operational excellence along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:
- HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- Experience in a quality, manufacturing, or engineering role.
- Basic understanding of QMS frameworks (ISO9001 / AS9100).
- Some experience with FAI, RCA, 8D, 5 Whys, or other quality tools.
- Able to interpret technical drawings or engineering specifications.
Desirable:- Aerospace, automotive, or similarly regulated industry experience.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Exposure to ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience in a quality role within a manufacturing or engineering environment (aerospace preferred).
- Understanding of NPI processes and quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis.
Personal skills / attributes:- Confident communicator with good attention to detail.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Excellent collaboration skills.
Be eligible to work in the UK, comfortable commuting or being based in Hingham, Norfolk and work flexible hours required
