Qualifications

  • Proven Quality Engineering experience in the automotive sector.
  • Knowledge of ISO/IATF16949 standards.
  • IATF Internal Auditor certification is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead 8D activities, manage customer complaints and resolutions.
  • Conduct investigations using microtome and microscope.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support customer and supplier visits as needed.
  • Liaise with measurement equipment suppliers.
  • Conduct internal and external audits.
  • Manage new product development projects.
  • Lead the Product Audit function within the Quality Control Department.

Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30 and Fridays 0800 to 13:30 (Flexi Time Available). Dudley.

Are you a Quality Engineer? Do you have experience with hands on quality engineering including 8D's and RCCA's? Do you hold good mechanical engineering knowledge? If so, a large but ever-growing automotive business is looking for a quality engineer to join!

Job Description
  • Lead 8D activities/ Customer complaints and resolution.
  • Conduct investigations and feedback to concerned parties using microtome and microscope.
  • Assist in continuous improvement.
  • Support Customer and Supplier visits as required.
  • Liaise with measurement equipment suppliers for new machines, upgrades, training, repair and calibration.
  • Undertake internal and external audits as required and in line with our business accreditations.
  • Manage projects and planned/unplanned as required by management team for new products development.
  • Lead the Product Audit function within the Quality Control Department.
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Proven Quality Engineering in the Automotive.
  • ISO/IATF16949 knowledge, IATF Internal Auditor preferable.
