Job description

Manufacturing Key Operative – Quality Controller

As a Manufacturing Key Operative – Quality Controller you will perform routine checks on products and packaging to ensure they meet food safety and legal requirements. Using relevant systems, you will record information, demonstrate traceability, and provide due diligence on behalf of the site and company. Any non‑conformances are escalated to prevent product withdrawals or recalls.

Responsibilities

• Perform temperature probing, swabbing, weight and size checks to minimise product loss and maintain customer requirements.
• Record and track inspection data in the designated system.
• Escalate potential non‑conformities and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain a safe working environment in varying temperatures of around 8 °C and below, using full protective clothing provided by the company.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous manufacturing and food handling experience is preferred but not essential.
• Desirable experience: Quality Control and understanding of product allergens; Food Safety Level 2 and/or HACCP Level 2.
• Strong teamwork skills, ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, and high level of fitness.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in completing tasks to the best of your ability.
