Overview

We are looking for an established, highly motivated and passionate apparel Quality Control Supervisor to join our in-house “Own Brand” Design Centre team at Footasylum. You will control the quality of all ‘own brand‘ products in line with the approved standards across men’s, women’s, kid’s and accessories. This role offers a great opportunity to work on Footasylum’s “own brands” such as Zavetti Canada, KWD, Alessandro Zavetti and many more. The role will be split between our off site warehouse and our Head Office in Rochdale.

The Quality Control Supervisor functions as a part of the larger ‘Design Centre’ and you will work closely with our Product Development, Buying, Merchandising, Supply Chain and Warehouse teams to ensure all products are fit for purpose and comply within brand impact and FA high standards.

About You
  • The successful candidate should have a minimum of 2 years previous QC experience within the apparel industry working across Mens, Ladies, Juniors and accessories.
  • You must have excellent organisation skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • You must have a good level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
  • You should be self-motivated and have good time management with the ability to adapt and work to tight deadlines and deliver results within specified time frames.
  • A good working knowledge of AQL (in the apparel industry) is essential.
  • A pro-active approach and being able to show initiative is essential.
  • A positive attitude to aid great working relationships with colleagues.
Responsibilities
  • QC bulk production and feedback to product development team and overseas factories when needed.
  • Leading and training a team of QC inspectors to ensure all products are inline with approved standards.
  • Responsible for keeping QC log up to date by liaising with all relevant teams.
  • Responsible for creating AQL inspection sheets and measurement sheets for own in-house inspections and 3rd party inspections when needed.
  • AQL report analysis with intervention when issues arise.
  • Responsible for ensuring all shipment samples are arranged for QC inspections when needed and logged correctly.
  • To ensure relevant quality tasks are achieved to all business-critical path key dates.
  • To record and investigate customer returns and coordinate corrective action plans with the factories and relevant teams.
  • To work in line with and continuously enhance the standard operating manuals and processes to ensure consistency of approach.
  • Work with the Supply Chain team to plan weekly work load based on bulk delivery arrivals.
