Qualified Social Worker, Team Manager, Children and Families Team
Pay rate up to £47 per hour
Contract role

We are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to work as a Team Manager in a Children and Families Team in Gloucestershire County Council. The role is based in Cheltenham and requires safeguarding experience to lead, manage and be accountable for a team of Social Workers in the delivery of statutory duties and improvement of services to children, young people, and families. The postholder will have knowledge of court work, CP, CIN and CIC and will be experienced in supervising and quality assuring a team of dedicated Social Workers. Working from home and office working is balanced where applicable; individual requests to be in the office and the needs of individuals and teams are by agreement with the manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and be accountable for a team of Social Workers in the delivery of statutory duties and service improvement for children, young people and families.
• Apply safeguarding practice with knowledge of court work, Child Protection (CP), Child in Need (CIN) and Looked After Children (LAC) contexts.
• Supervise and quality assure a team of Social Workers.
• Balance remote and office-based work in line with individual and team needs as agreed with the manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Social Worker with experience in safeguarding and leading a Social Work team.
• Experience in court work and working within CP, CIN, CIC frameworks.
• Proven ability to supervise, support, and quality assure social work practice.
