About the Role

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join the Assessment and Intervention Team in Torbay. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a fast-paced, frontline team where your skills will directly impact children and families in need of support and protection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake statutory assessments under the Children Act 1989
  • Respond to new referrals and complete initial assessments
  • Work with children, families, and other professionals to determine appropriate interventions
  • Manage a diverse caseload, including cases involving child protection, CIN, and early help
  • Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for legal proceedings when required
  • Participate in strategy discussions, case conferences, and planning meetings
  • Promote child-centred practice and safeguard the welfare of children at all times
