Job summary

A leading engineering provider in Southampton is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure high quality control standards on-site. The ideal candidate will have a welding background, knowledge of quality control systems, and the ability to read isometric drawings. Candidates should hold a CSWIP Level 3.0 Welding Inspector certification. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the improvement of technical capabilities and quality auditing within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Control and familiar with Quality Plans (ITPs).
• Understanding of fabrication, welding, and NDT techniques.
• Ability to perform quality control tasks including visual inspections.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Quality Test Packs per specific scopes of work.
• Perform daily on-site Quality Control Visual Inspections.
• Contribute to on-site Quality Auditing alongside QA/QC Engineer.

Skills

Welding related background

Bilfinger UK are looking for a Quality Inspector to join us at Fawley in Southampton. This poition is based on site full time on a permanent basis

The QC Inspector will be tequired yo perform quality control tasks to include but not limited to the following:

• P repare Quality Test Packs as per specific “Scope of Work” work packs.
• P rovide Qual i ty related technical support for projects / maintenance.
• Carry out daily on-site Quality Control Visual Inspection of welds, flange fit-up, Gasket compliance to Isometric drawings & Bolt torquing, to General Practices 12-12
• Carry-out daily Dimensional checks and Visual Inspection of welds to all Off-site delivered piping spools
• Maintain and update NDE FOCUL submissions that are stored on an Excel sheet in S-Drive
• Issuance of welding Consumables as per Quality Controlled Weld Cards.
• Contribu t e to t h e im p rove m ent a nd te c hnical ca p abi l ities of the Company.
• Contribute to on-site Quality Auditing – Internal & External alongside QA/QC Engineer.
• Support existing strong workshop HSE culture
