QA Officer - Batch Release & QMS

Location: Runcorn

Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm / 3:00pm - 11:00pm (rotating) Monday to Friday

Salary: Competitive + Shift Allowance + Annual Bonus

We are seeking 2 highly motivated QA Officers to join our client's Quality team in Runcorn. This role offers the opportunity to split your time between batch release activities and Quality Management System (QMS) support, helping to maintain the highest standards of product quality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve batch documentation to ensure compliance with specifications and GMP.
• Assess and approve batches for release to market or internal use.
• Support investigations of deviations and non-conformities, ensuring effective resolution and compliance.
• Manage QMS activities including complaints, events, CAPA and change control.
• Compile Certificates of Conformance and support KPI reporting.
• Review and update SOPs, worksheets and QC specification documents.
• Provide QA support to QC-led projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deputise for the QC Shift Team Leader where required.

Qualifications

• Degree in a Life Science subject (or equivalent experience).
• At least 3 years' experience in QA/QC within pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong working knowledge of GMP and QMS processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• A collaborative team player who can also work independently.
