ADDITIONAL NEW ROLE - Temporary Purchasing Administrator

Location: Outskirts of Carlisle
Hours: 30-39 per week, Monday-Friday
Pay Rate: £13.80 per hour + holiday pay
Contract: Ongoing temporary assignment with an immediate start

About the Role

Butler Rose Cumbria is recruiting on behalf of our client based on the outskirts of Carlisle. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to join their team in a varied Purchasing Administration role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the process for purchasing materials and supplies:

    • Receiving internal requests, checking prices against agreed lists, or negotiating prices with suppliers.

    • Raising purchase orders on Construct and dealing with related queries.

  • Coordinating fleet requirements including repairs, MOTs, and servicing.

  • Booking equipment repairs and managing plant hire/off-hire processes.

  • Providing support to the wider team with purchasing and general administration tasks.

About You
  • Previous experience in purchasing, administration, or a similar role.

  • Confident communicator with strong organisational skills.

  • Able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • IT literate with experience of purchase order systems (Construct experience desirable but not essential).

  • Team player with a flexible approach.

What's on Offer
  • Competitive hourly rate of £13.80 + holiday pay (£28,000 per annum Equivalent)

  • Monday-Friday (39 hours per week however 30 hours would be considered).

  • Ongoing temporary contract with immediate start available.
