Pupil Support Assistant

We are seeking a committed and compassionate Pupil Support Assistant to join a specialist primary SEND school in L36. You will be working full-time with KS1 children with autism, providing tailored support to help them access learning, develop communication skills, and build confidence in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for KS1 pupils with autism
  • Assist teachers in delivering adapted lessons and interventions
  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social interaction
  • Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and families to ensure consistent support
  • Contribute to the wider school community and inclusive ethos
About You
  • Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly autism (school-based experience desirable)
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with strong communication skills
  • Able to adapt quickly and use creative strategies to engage learners
  • Passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs
