Management Accountant

  • Location: London - Hybrid working
  • Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Bonus
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the longest standing property companies in London who have an incredible portfolio of properties in Central London. This Management Accounting position works closely with the Financial Controller in taking ownership of the Management, Financial and Property Accounting across their prestigious assets.

This is an ideal role for an individual with a Property Accounting background to join as they complete their ACCA/CIMA studies and eventually progress into a qualified role.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with the production of management and financial accounting at month and year end and take ownership initially of some of the property portfolio.
  • Oversee tenant accounts, allocate receipts, manage cash posting, and maintain the tenant receipts file for inclusion in monthly management reports.
  • Raise service charge invoices, post journals, and perform reconciliations.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and update fixed asset schedules.
  • Provide analysis and commentary on tenancy reporting using data from turnover reports and rent receipt reports.
  • Produce monthly income analysis and direct cost analysis.
  • Manage tenant payment reminders and manage arrears.
  • Maintain Qube with new contracts, renewals, and tenancy updates.
About You
  • ACCA or CIMA studying
  • Current working knowledge as a Property Accountant or Management accountant within real estate.
  • Prior experience with Qube (MRI) is desirable but not essential.
  • Good understanding of service charge reconciliations and tenant billing.
  • Confident with VAT returns.
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and present financial data.
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for tenant and stakeholder interaction.
