The Project Manager’s role

An expanding construction consultancy based in Southampton is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their professional team. If you have a background in consultancy project management and are looking to work on exciting healthcare and commercial builds, this could be the perfect fit.

The Project Manager will be key to delivering effective project management services on fast-paced projects. You’ll be joining a team where collaboration and attention to detail define the project management process.

As Project Manager, you will deliver cradle-to-grave project management across a variety of live and new build schemes. From chairing stakeholder meetings to managing procurement and reviewing programme schedules, your focus will be on proactive project management.

You’ll work alongside consultants, clients and contractors to maintain standards, monitor costs and eliminate risks. This role requires an individual capable of making autonomous decisions while keeping the wider team informed.

The Project Manager
  • Degree in relevant construction or engineering discipline
  • 3-5 years’ project management experience in a consultancy environment
  • Working towards MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM or equivalent
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and healthcare environments
  • Able to handle conflicting deadlines and live environments
