A leading energy company in the UK is seeking a Project Coordinator to oversee fault repairs and minor investment projects. You will work within the Faults & Operations team, reporting directly to the Head of Delivery. The role requires effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring projects are completed on time and effectively managed using SAP. This role sits within the Faults & Operations team (Mid Cheshire District) and reports directly to the Head of Delivery.
The Project Coordinator works within the frontline district team facilitating and co‑ordinating all aspects of the repair of HV and LV faults and assists in the delivery of minor investment works in association with the district engineers. Provides an important interface with contractors and internal stakeholders to assist in the coordination & delivery of outputs, including all associated system/SAP processes such as release of orders, project closure and payment/volume confirmations.
The role will require liaising with other functional business departments, examples include commercial & performance, smart grid operations, network planning & regulation and licence programmes. In addition, good relationships with wider district teams are pivotal, such as delivery team leaders to ensure efficient and effective use of all direct staff.
Other duties would include fault cost & data analysis, supporting the delivery of other work programmes needing to make use of 1st response/field teams, managing SAP workflows/confirmations, supporting EAC roles where suitable, and logistical support for fault management.
Contributes as an effective member of the District operations/delivery team
Day to day, coordination of fault repairs and minor investment works.
Coordination & ownership of all SAP/System duties associated to the role.
Ensure that all projects are delivered within timescales and to costs.
Co‑ordination of field staff/material requirements etc.
Effective escalation and communication with engineers & team leaders.
Work towards a zero‑accident culture and lead by example.
Deliver excellent customer service and actively promote customer service standards within area of responsibility
Comply with site and workplace audits.
Zero accident rate achieved & carries out tasks in accordance with Energy Networks safety rules.
Enable progression of other work streams through effective planning and use of field staff logistically & geographically.
Developed customer service skills and appreciation of BMCS.
Some knowledge of the electrical network & network management systems.
Contract management skills and general commercial & regulatory awareness.
Developed negotiation, communication and people coordination skills.
Ability to devise solutions to complex problems/challenges.
Working knowledge of SAP & other corporate systems.
Enthusiastic and flexible individual with drive to succeed and self‑motivated.
Effective decision maker.
Ability to deliver objectives without compromising on safety, quality or customer service.
Good organisation and time management skills.
Knowledge of district cable laying contract would be beneficial but not essential.
Previous experience managing/coordinating or owning programmes of work.
Comfortable looking at data and using corporate IT systems.
Computer literacy - e.g. Microsoft Office suite
Working knowledge of company Health & Safety requirements and compliance.
Working knowledge of Energy Networks policies, procedures and working practices
An effective and confident written and verbal communicator.
