Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant for our team, based in Old Oak Common, London, working on-site 3-4 days a week.

Job description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Processing all AP invoices using our internal invoicing system.
  2. Reconciliation of supplier statements.
  3. Managing AP queries and follow-up actions.
  4. Handling payments for expenses, liaising with suppliers and payroll, on a weekly basis.
  5. Calculating intercompany recharging costs under guidance from the Finance Manager and UK CFO.
  6. Distributing intercompany invoices timely.
  7. Monitoring monthly closing activities, including prepayments, accruals, and reconciliations.
  8. Supporting audits, process improvements, and system issues.
  9. Performing ad-hoc finance duties and supporting the wider finance team.

Qualifications

  1. Experience in engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects is beneficial.
  2. Minimum 5 years of relevant UK experience.
  3. Attention to detail.
  4. Project management skills.
  5. Ability to work independently.
  6. Proficiency in Excel.
  7. Good knowledge of bank reconciliation and payment processing.
  8. Strong understanding of project accounting and reporting.
  9. Excellent communication skills.
  10. Experience with system implementation is a plus.

Qualifications

  • A finance-related degree.
  • Qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, or CIMA).
