Programme Manager – Capital Programme
This Programme Manager will report to the Portfolio Manager and will work within Capital Programme based in our Bury St Edmunds office. You will be a permanent employee.
Salary: £94,904 plus 3% bonus. Blended working 3 days in office 2 remote after 6 months probation.

Role Overview
As Programme Manager you will ensure safe, compliant, timely and commercially effective delivery of capital project schemes between Gate A and Gate D.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Project and Programme Execution Plans.
- Lead multi-discipline resources in scoping, development and delivery.
- Ensure execution of CDM compliance and safe systems of work.
- Prepare project quality plan including Inspection and Test Plan and design approvals.
- Manage stakeholder engagement and management.
- Package and procurement strategy including best design and commercial practice.
- Obtain consents and third party approvals.
- Apply lessons learned to reduce safety risks.
- Follow project and financial governance procedures.
- Contract management and administration within contract timescales.
- Use project control protocols for planning, scheduling, risk management.
- Manage interfaces between Capital Programme functional departments and Asset Management/ Major connections.
- Provide regular reports to Portfolio Manager and Head of Programme Management Office.
- Stakeholder management of Design, Commercial, Alliance Delivery Members, UKPN Alliance Operations, Consents, delivery teams within DNO.
Qualifications and Experience
- A formal qualification in Project / Programme Management and /or and equivalent degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering with substantial experience in infrastructure delivery.
- Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer or equivalent with demonstrable relevant experience.
- Practitioner skills in NEC and other construction contracts.
- Planning and scheduling construction programmes experience.
- Risk Management techniques.
- Knowledge of key cost drivers and cost reduction measures.
- Excellent understanding of construction management best practice.
- Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH advantageous.
- Experience with project control systems, online collaboration tools, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Access.
