As a Programme Assurance Officer in our Audit, Risk and Assurance Team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring successful delivery across our projects and programmes. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively, using your initiative to provide high-quality assurance services to our Executive Team. You’ll engage with Project and Programme Managers, technical experts, and senior stakeholders to deliver key assurance activities.
Welcome to the Risk and Assurance Team at Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) - a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation at the heart of one of the UK’s most ambitious transport transformations. We provide independent assurance to TfGM’s Executive and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, helping to ensure the organisation has strong foundations to successfully deliver a large, complex, and technically diverse portfolio of capital and revenue projects. We undertake assurance activities across a wide portfolio of projects and programmes spanning Bus infrastructure, Metrolink, Rail, Electrification, Interchanges, Zero Emissions, Clean Air, Active Travel and Business Change, among others. We’re proud to support projects that make a real difference to people’s lives, ensuring they’re delivered on time, within budget, and with the customer at the heart of everything we do.

You’ll be comfortable working across a diverse portfolio and engaging with a wide range of professionals, from Project Managers and Technical Experts to Sponsors and Senior Responsible Owners.
