Overview

The Professional Nurse Advocate (PNA) Lead Nurse role focuses on facilitating supervision, training and supporting the health and wellbeing of nursing colleagues. The aim is for every Registered Nurse to have access to Restorative Clinical Supervision from a Professional Nurse Advocate or Clinical Supervisor (CS).

You will work alongside nurse managers in Primary Care, Community Services, and Complex and Long Term Care to lead the strategic direction for embedding Restorative Clinical Supervision and coordinate the activities of the PNA/CSs through a peer support group. You will be a role model and ambassador promoting wellbeing and empowerment of nursing staff to deliver high quality patient care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of improved patient safety and patient experience.

You will be a visible leader, providing assurance to the heads of nursing that staff support and Restorative Clinical Supervision are offered and delivered across the nursing services.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Restorative Clinical Supervision for all nurses in the Division to support personal and professional development, resilience and quality improvement.
  • Develop and foster effective working relationships across a broad range of teams, services and agencies.
  • Advocate and represent the Health Board values, policies and procedures at all times.
  • Promote a culture of wellbeing, patient safety and patient experience through leadership in supervision and development initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current practice and registration.
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
