Job summary

A leading medical supply company is seeking a Team Leader responsible for supporting Team Leaders and Production Supervisors in the manufacturing assembly department. This role requires experience in a manufacturing environment and strong leadership skills. The successful candidate will ensure the production of high-quality, defect-free products while adhering to safety standards. Flexibility to work on a rotating shift schedule is necessary.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety requirements.

Job description

We are looking to recruit a Team Leader who will be responsible for supporting and assisting the other Team Leaders and Production Supervisors in the day to day running of the manufacturing assembly department with the aim of producing high quality defect free product, using the most cost effective and efficient methods as required by the Production and Operations Management.

Responsibilities
  • Support and assist other Team Leaders and Production Supervisors in the daily running of the manufacturing assembly department.
  • Aim to produce high quality defect free products using cost effective and efficient methods as required by Production and Operations Management.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience supervising and motivating a team
  • Able to use Microsoft Office
  • The ability to communicate in English (verbal and written)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety requirements and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Knowledge and experience of correct manual handling procedures
Desirable Experience / Qualifications
  • Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 Certification (or equivalent)
  • Experience of using Dynamics system (or similar business management system)
  • Counterbalance Forklift licence (although full training with our provider is required)
