The role itself

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will lead and manage a production team to achieve daily and weekly targets. You will be responsible for maintaining quality, safety, and performance standards, while fostering a positive team culture.

  • Lead, coach, and motivate your team to meet daily KPIs for output, quality, and efficiency
  • Manage shift operations, including attendance, breaks, overtime, and effective handovers.
  • Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and handle disciplinary matters up to verbal warnings.
  • Support daily production planning and ensure accurate completion of shift documentation.
  • Monitor and control raw material usage to minimise waste and maintain stock accuracy.
  • Identify and escalate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure audit readiness.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment and support health & safety and quality audits.
  • Ensure equipment is operational, report faults, and assist with planned maintenance activities.
Your essential ingredients
  • Previous supervisory experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety protocols.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mechanical understanding to assist with minor troubleshooting.
