Job description

As our new Production Operative at our Settle Dairy you will play an integral part in the production of our fantastic Lacto-Free products. Working a rotating continental 12hr shift pattern covering both days and nights you will monitor the running of our production lines ensuring key targets are achieved. The shift pattern is over 4 weeks and includes 8 consecutive days off!

Responsibilities

  • Running of our production lines safely and efficiently to produce top quality products
  • Performing quality inspections on materials and finished product
  • Quality checks to include, codes, sealing and weights
  • Filling of trays, glues and caps
  • Reporting safety issues to maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and surroundings
  • Perform specified cleaning tasks as per our daily/monthly schedules.

What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role

  • Previous experience working within a similar environment would be beneficial but not essential
  • Previous experience with food safety regulations and practices would be beneficial but not essential
  • All training and support will be provided during your induction period
  • A motivated team player, who can work on their own initiative
  • You’re as serious about quality as we are – and ready to work hard to achieve it
  • A good attendance record and a willingness to learn further skills
  • 1 week off in every 4 weeks!

Due to the site closure which we estimate to be in the second half of 2027, we are offering an enhanced reward and support package to support our colleagues. This includes a pro rata retention payment (25% of average annual salary) as well as a redundancy payment based on length of service (no 2-year minimum service needed). We are also offering relocation support for colleagues staying with Arla following site closure as well as out service support for those colleagues who choose not to stay
