Airbus Defence & Space Limited – Service Delivery Management Apprentice (Cyber Security Division)

Airbus Defence & Space, located at Newport, South Wales, is offering a 5‑year Apprenticeship in the Cyber Security Division. The role involves working on advanced high‑grade cryptographic systems and key‑management solutions for governments, the military, enterprise organisations and essential national infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Service Delivery Programme Manager and contribute to the delivery of high‑quality services.
  • Support the development, testing and deployment of the Ectocryp and CertSecure product suites.
  • Assist in overseeing ITIL Service Delivery processes, including incident, problem, change, and service level management.
  • Engage with suppliers and customers to ensure service levels are met and continuously improved.
  • Communicate and lead cross‑functional projects, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
Training & Qualification

The apprenticeship will culminate in a BSc (Hons) Applied Business Management degree apprenticeship provided by Swansea University. During the programme you will receive on‑the‑job training covering:

  • ITIL Framework; Service Level Management; Incident and Problem Management; Change Management.
  • Communication and Leadership; Supplier and Customer Management.
  • Understanding of technologies relevant to the services managed.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Annual salary: £23,000.
  • Working 37 hours per week with half‑day Fridays.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Location

Newport, South Wales, with occasional travel to customer sites across South Wales and the Midlands.
