Overview

CNC Team Leader or Production Engineer required for an established and well-regarded machine shop in West Yorkshire.

The business is a sub-contract precision engineer machining a wide range of components for customers in diverse industry sectors. The quality and variety of work is excellent.

The company have a new opening for an experienced CNC Engineer to play a lead role in Production - supervising a team of machinists whilst providing critical technical knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Use of CAD/CAM software to model components and programme machine tools
• Production planning, job routings and scheduling
• Selecting and purchasing of tooling
• Identifying and implementing process improvements
• Machine set up and maintenance
• Setting and operating machine tools as required

Qualifications / suitable background

• The role would be suitable for an experienced production engineer or cnc Team leader / cnc supervisor
• Apprentice trained engineer, or similar.
• Career experience working in machine shop environments
• Technically sound, able to use CAD/CAM and machine programming softwares
• Confident in dealing with suppliers and external contacts
• Able to supervise the shop floor
