Role: Production Engineer

Salary: £32,000‑£37,000 per annum (dependent on experience, please advise)

Type: Permanent

Location: Bristol

Company

My client designs and manufactures a range of electro‑mechanical products, and they are looking to take on a Production Engineer on a permanent basis in the Bristol area.

Qualifications
  • HNC / HND / NVQ / BSc / BEng qualification ideally or similar in Manufacturing or Production Engineering or have previous work experience in this type of hands‑on role
  • Understanding of Six Sigma would be beneficial
  • 2 years or more of engineering experience in a similar Manufacturing, Assembly, FMCG or similar environment
  • Have experience of working with Lean Manufacturing methodologies, FMEA, and Continuous Improvement activities
  • Knowledge of ISO9001
  • Previous experience of working with a range of materials including plastics
  • Be able to design jigs & fixtures (understanding of SolidWorks CAD software)
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
  • Have good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Computer proficiency using MS Office
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills.

  • Help to support with any operational issues
  • Being involved in continuous improvement activities
  • Helping to achieve on time delivery with customer orders
  • Supporting NPI too
  • Being involved in production design and set up
