Job Description

Full time role offering immediate start!

You will be responsible for the processing (via milling, extrusion, drying and coating) of animal food, to the required finished standard, as safely and effectively as possible.

Your main duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Running a mill and preparing the product for loading.
  • Conducting all necessary technical checks and recording data and outcomes
  • Running the extruder, dryer, coater cooler and bulk storage.
  • Capture, segregate, and transfer waste for rework
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment throughout the premises

Key deliverables expected are:

  • The processing of safe product for customers, in a clean and controlled environment.
  • Ensuring the lowest possible cost by reducing waste, running the asset at the required speed, using your training and experience to resolve asset issues, and effectively escalating downtime for resolution by shift engineers.

Duration: This is an immediate start offering ongoing work.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: £14 per hour basic rate and overtime paid at time and a half.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30; 8.5 hour shifts.

Experience & Qualifications

For this role you will require:

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting (ideally food production)
  • Experience in machine operations
  • You must be a team player and have good attention to detail

  • Some awareness of CI tools and techniques
