Job description

We are seeking a Process Technician to join our client in Knottingley. This role involves operating process plant equipment for the safe and efficient treatment of industrial waste, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely offload and process waste using approved procedures, risk assessments, and best practices.
  • Operate and monitor process plant equipment to maintain compliance and efficiency.
  • Plan work schedules around waste treatment requirements and plant availability.
  • Maintain accurate records of waste processed, operating conditions, and test results.
  • Carry out routine preventative maintenance and assist with fault identification.
  • Communicate effectively with site staff, contractors, and drivers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide cover for colleagues during absence and undertake other reasonable tasks as required.
  • Follow all safety rules, procedures, and codes of practice.
Requirements
  • Forklift Truck Licence (up to date accredited licences essential)
  • Experience in operating process plant or similar industrial equipment (preferred)
  • Strong awareness of health and safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and record-keeping skills

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:00
Breaks: One hour paid break (split across the shift)
