  • Perform process sampling to gauge and monitor chemistry levels accurately.
  • Oversee wastewater operations.
  • Analyze data to determine and implement process or operational adjustments.
  • Log operational data and generate reports regularly.
  • Troubleshoot process, instrumentation, data, and mechanical issues promptly.
  • Perform basic maintenance, repairs, and calibration.
  • Document and report system improvements.
  • Manage work orders for plant operations.
  • Develop and update operational SOPs and readiness plans.
  • Respond to emergencies.
  • Start up and shut down DA, Boilers, RO systems, Cooling Towers, Pumps, and all related equipment.

Position Title: Utility Operator

POSITION PURPOSE: Performs operations and maintenance duties on critical utilities such as Cooling Towers, RO filters, Boilers, and associated equipment, including laboratory testing, monitoring, and operating equipment in compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

  • Monitor utility functions daily, assess chemical demands, and make adjustments accordingly.
  • Perform process sampling to gauge and monitor chemistry levels accurately.
  • Oversee wastewater operations.
  • Analyze data to determine and implement process or operational adjustments (e.g., demand, chemical dosage, process changes).
  • Log operational data and generate reports regularly.
  • Troubleshoot process, instrumentation, data, and mechanical issues promptly.
  • Perform basic maintenance, repairs, and calibration.
  • Document and report system improvements.
  • Manage work orders for plant operations.
  • Develop and update operational SOPs and readiness plans.
  • Respond to emergencies.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
  • Start up and shut down DA, Boilers, RO systems, Cooling Towers, Pumps, and all related equipment.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No prior experience necessary.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work shifts may include day and night shifts.
  • Work in various climates.
  • Lifting over 50 pounds frequently.
  • Required PPE: Personal Protective Equipment.
