Location: HMP Lowdham Grange, Old Epperstone Road, Lowdham, NG14 7DA
Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing
Working Hours: Monday to Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm or 8:30am – 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Medicines Management: Ensure secure supply, storage, and reconciliation of medications in accordance with GPhC, HMPPS, and NHS protocols.
  • Clinical Pharmacy Services: Conduct medicines use reviews and in-possession risk assessments to tailor treatments for individuals with complex health needs.
  • Prescribing Support: Offer expert advice to prescribers on formulary usage, drug interactions, and cost-effective, evidence-based prescribing.
  • Patient Education: Provide counselling and guidance on proper medication use, side effects, and harm reduction, including support for substance misuse programmes.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside GPs, nurses, mental health clinicians, and substance misuse specialists for integrated care delivery.
  • Governance & Compliance: Maintain thorough records, contribute to service audits, and uphold all legal and ethical standards, including those surrounding controlled drugs.
  • Clinical Systems: Utilise SystmOne for accurate documentation and communication across the clinical team.
  • GPhC registration (General Pharmaceutical Council).
  • Eligibility for HMPPS clearance (Prison Clearance).
