• Prepare artwork and send RIP files for production.
• Produce cut shape graphics for various applications.

Print Finisher / Large Format Printer / Print All Rounder

Location: Bury, Greater Manchester

Role

Our client is currently looking for a Print Finisher / Large Format Printer to join their in-house facility.

The Role

• Setting up and operating print jobs on HP, Agfa, Mimaki large format flatbed and roll to roll printers
• Attention to detail and accuracy when preparing, producing, and finishing products
• Preparing artwork for production using Adobe Illustrator. Sending RIP files via Rasterlink
• Operating/cutting and CNC routing table
• Producing cut shape graphics for sign making and vehicle application
• Operating laminating equipment and finishing printed products ready for installation
• Applying vinyl graphics
• Operating sewing machines
• Welding substrates using keder, gel keder (Edge fixing). Production of PVC banners.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Large Format printing or finishing - essential
• Experience running large format print machines including Vutek, Roland, Mimaki etc.
• Working on a Zund is highly advantageous
• Weeding and Cutting Vinyl
• Able to work as part of the team to create the best solutions for our customers
• Computer literate - specific training in our software will be given
• Able to work with power tools and knives when required
• Physically able to handle media rolls and boards
• Good communicator with customers to understand their requirements
