Job summary

A manufacturing company in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced individual to oversee the flexographic printing process. Key responsibilities, tasks and person specification

Ensure day to day running of print press is fully utilised and optimised whilst working directly with the printer. To achieve KPIs and quality levels set by the Line Manager.

Maintain a high level of quality, accuracy, and productivity whilst working to tight deadlines and customer demands.

To achieve and exceed KPI expectations e.g. production speed and output, as directed by your Line Manager.

  • Monitor and control print press ancillary support areas
  • Ensure the printer is fully supported in all areas to achieve machine KPIs
  • Monitor print press when printer is away from the machine
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures are adhered to (e.g. PPE, health and safety, hygiene, quality)
  • Complete all related paperwork and input data onto Prism accurately to ensure print quality checks can be carried out, as per training given
  • Follow SOPs at all times ensuring that defective quality material does not reach the customer
  • Working with and contributing to Continuous improvement activity across site
  • Ensure effective shift handover is carried out
  • Maintain good housekeeping including 5s auditing

You will need to have:

  • Good attendance and timekeeping
  • Knowledge of flexographic printing process would be advantageous although training will be given.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of Prism and Shop Logix although training will be given.
  • Good organisational and self-motivational skills
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail

Schedule
  • Monday - Friday Working (Seasonal Saturdays apply in May, June & July)
  • 12 hour shifts – 6-6 days, 6-6 nights.
  • Monday to Friday
